Tips For Care Packages!
If you’re sending perishable foods, make sure to overnight them and that your love will be able to receive them on the day you’re sending the package!

Safely wrap all fragile items so they don’t break in the mail. If it’s a particularly expensive item, make sure to purchase insurance for it! Also note on your box somewhere that the package is fragile.

Place bottles that could break or leak in a seperate air-tight bag or compartment.

Make sure you have enough postage, the recipients address (as well as your own) is clearly readible, and that it is adequately taped or packaged.

Themed Packages
A lot of times it’s much easier to send something when you are working with a central theme. If your partner has a wide variety of interests, coming up with theme ideas should be fairly easy. If not, the ideas below can help spur your creativity!

A few major interests might include: Star Wars, Beanie Babies, Star Trek, video games, etc. Buy or make stationary within the theme and send a love letter on it. Don’t forget to include posters, movies, CD’s, books or magazines that might correlate with your love’s theme!Sweets For My Sweet Package

Even though Shaquille and Shauna O’Neal have reportedly decided to call off their divorce proceedings, a new report could affect the decision.

TMZ is reporting that an Atlanta based hip hop artist named Mary Jane is claiming that the NBA heavyweight has been harassing her with heavy breathing over the phone.

The woman, whose real name is Alexis Miller, says it’s gotten so bad that she went to the authorities and received a restraining order against the Phoenix Suns center

Miller claims they had an affair and that when it ended, Shaq threatened he’d wreck her career if she told anyone.

According to court documents O’Neal wrote her one email that reads:

“I dnt no who the fuk u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is all I gotta make no try me. Sho me.”

O’Neal is scheduled to appear before a judge on Sept. 4.

TMZ is also reporting that the woman’s lawyer, L. David Wolfe, said that Miller has known O’Neal for 18 months and that he sent her multiple emails that caused her to be concerned.

The long arm of the law just reached out and grabbed Da Brat. Today the rapper was sentenced to three years of jail time for striking a waitress with a rum bottle at an Atlanta nightclub last year.

Da Brat, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, 34, will also have do seven years probation and 200 hours of community service for the incident.

It was last year in October that Da Brat mixed it up with the waitress at a Halloween party at Studio 72.

According to reports, the woman was hit in the face with a bottle of rum, causing numerous cuts on her face. The waitress was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said the Halloween attack wasn’t the first time Da Brat and the victim were involved in a physical altercation.

Harris entered a guilty plea to aggravated assault in the case.

Apparently she’s not called Da Brat for nothing. In 2000 she faced charges for beating a woman with a gun during a dispute over VIP seating in a nightclub. The victim in that incident received six stitches for a head wound, but the case never went to trial, reports MTV.

Will there come a time when the cover of O magazine will feature someone other than Ms. O herself?

The New York Post reported Thursday that Oprah Winfrey is worn out from   shooting the cover of her monthly magazine and wants to stop.

“Oprah has told the editors at O magazine she’s tired of being on the cover every month. It’s a pain,” a source told Page Six. “It takes a lot of time and energy and she’s sick of it. She’s given them six months to figure out what to do without her.”

However, a rep for the magazine denies talk of Oprah going through cover girl fatigue.

“Oprah Winfrey has appeared on the cover of O . . . since its launch in 2000, and she will continue to do so,” said the rep. “In fact, shoots for three upcoming covers will take place in early September.”

OBAMA HAS MADE HIS VP PICK: Senator Joseph Biden of Delaware August 23, 2008

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has chosen veteran Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden, a leading voice on international affairs, as his vice presidential running mate, his campaign said on Saturday.

Biden, 65, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is one of the most knowledgeable Democrats on foreign policy — an area where Obama, a first-term senator from Illinois, has been criticized as inexperienced.

Ending days of speculation, Obama announced the decision on his Web site, featuring a photo of the two, and his campaign sent a text message and e-mail to supporters.

“Barack has chosen Joe Biden to be his running mate,” the announcement said. “Joe Biden brings extensive foreign policy experience, an impressive record of collaborating across party lines, and a direct approach to getting the job done.”

Biden is to travel to Springfield, Illinois, to join Obama for their first campaign event later on Saturday.

Biden, a Roman Catholic originally from the battleground state of Pennsylvania, will bring not only foreign policy expertise to the ticket but strong working-class roots.

That could help Obama connect with the blue-collar voters he has failed to attract in the run-up to the November 4 election against Republican John McCain. Obama and McCain are neck and neck in opinion polls.

Statement from Reverend Al Sharpton, President of the  National Action Network and Former U.S. Democratic Presidential Candidate on Senator Obama’s Selection of Senator Joe Biden as running mate:

“The selection of Senator Joe Biden as running mate to Senator Barack Obama was a prudent and praise worthy decision. Mr. Biden’s experience, candor and ability to reach out to people–even those with whom he may disagree– is well established. There will be those that will raise his remarks early in the campaign season about Senator Obama being the first African-American with certain qualities to seek the nomination. As the last African-American Democratic candidate for President, I can assure you this will be a non-issue. Senator Biden, upon making those comments, called me to give clarity and went, that day, on my syndicated radio show to explain his remarks to voters all over the country, and took calls. We should not allow this to waste one minute of consideration as we move toward November. Senator Biden’s record in civil right’s is exemplary.”
