1. Don’t ignore the signs
“See the situation for what it is,” says relationship expert Audrey B. Chapman, author of `Man Sharing: Dilemma or Choice’ (William B. Morrow & Co.). “Too often women excuse the fact that their partner is less attentive or his schedule has suddenly become mysterious.” If all indications point to your partner being unfaithful, he probably is.

2. Be safe

Even if your man has cheated only once, you’re still in danger of contracting an STD. “Your first priority should be your own health,” says Chapman. “Request that he wear a condom. He also needs to see a doctor, get tested, and show you the results.” Of course, your partner might not be willing to comply, especially if he’s denying the affair. In that case, the sex must cease.

3. Recognize the impact
His cheating injures you emotionally. Maybe you’re thinking, The affair doesn’t really bother me; their relationship is not that deep. But think again. Does his cheating make you feel depressed, anxious or angry? A good relationship shouldn’t bring you down.

4. Realize you can’t change him
“Sometimes the fact that she can’t control her man is the hardest thing for a woman to understand,” says Chapman. “She might feel like, ‘I did this and that and gave him all my love, and now he owes it to me to be faithful.’ But loving somebody is not enough; they have to want to change.”

5. Don’t take it personally
“Women always think everything that happens in a relationship happens because of them,” says Chapman. But your partner may have come to the relationship hauling a truckload of bad experiences, and this is how he’s choosing to cope. “Until he realizes that he needs to get himself together to keep you, it doesn’t matter what you do,” counsels Chapman.

6. Understand he could have a serious problem
Sometimes cheating is a sign of a deeper psychological issue. Constant infidelity is typical of sociopaths, sex addicts and men with narcissistic personality disorder, says Chapman. “These are men you really need to watch out for,” she adds. “Without professional help, they are lifelong cheaters.” Chapman advises that if you’re wondering whether your man has a psychological problem, seek professional advice. “It’s too much for a woman to try to figure this out herself,” she says.

7. Uncover what’s holding you back

“I’ve treated women who are so psychologically dependent on the relationship that they find it impossible to leave, even when they know their partner will never change,” says Chapman. “For instance, women who have abandonment issues with their own fathers might find ending a relationship particularly difficult.” If you think this may be you, seek professional counseling.

8. Leave with a plan
If you decide to leave, be very strategic about it, says Chapman. For example, you may need the advice of a financial counselor to help you determine whether you can afford to get your own place or whether you need to stay with friends or family.

9. Lean on loved ones
Just because he cheated doesn’t mean you won’t miss him. “You may need some support while you grieve the relationship,” says Chapman. If you don’t have a group of good friends to support you, you may want to seek out a counselor or clergyperson.

10. Consider your options

“If you think there is such a shortage of Black men that you need to stay with a cheater, think again,” counsels Chapman. “There are many types of men out there for you to form a healthy relationship with, but they may come from a different class, educational background or culture than you are used to. You need to think outside the box, because a woman who feels she has no options is a woman who is really in trouble.”

Reality star Khloe Kardashian says she has learned her lesson.

Kardashian, 24, recently spoke with Tyra Banks about her arrest for DUI in March, 2007 – and what she has learned from it.

“I have to go to the hospital and see injured people who were either a drunk driver themselves or were hurt by someone,” Kardashian, who appears on E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians, says of her community service. “Thankfully [they] weren’t killed.”

Reflecting on the night she got behind the wheel after having had too much to drink, she says, “what I could have done is just unthinkable. I will never, ever do that again.”

On the same episode of The Tyra Banks Show, set to air Sept. 23, Khloe’s sisters, Kim and Kourtney, joined her to talk about reality TV, their love lives and rumors.

On her relationship with NFL pro Reggie Bush, Kim, 27, says, “people can make up whatever they want and say crazy rumors, this is the one time I feel confident.”

When Banks asked if she would marry Bush, Kim answered “Yes!”

Breakup Rumors Hit Brad and Angelina September 19, 2008

Whispers of a Jolie-Pitt split; plus, size matters on ‘90210′; Eva Mendes slams sex confession; K-Fed vs. hardworking Paris; and more …

It would have been the ultimate tabloid irony: After countless stories predicting doom for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, they break up during a week in which their supposed relationship issues aren’t featured on a single glossy cover.

On Thursday, spurious reports began flying that the most famous/fabulous/fertile flames on the planet had — say it ain’t so! — called it quits.

The speculation was apparently kick-started by the recent dearth of sightings of the knee-deep-in-dirty-diapers duo out and about together.

But before anyone even had a chance to cry to the heavens, “But what will become of poor little Maddox, and Pax, and Zahara, and Shiloh, and 2-month-old twins Vivienne and Knox?” the rift rumblings were summarily shot down.

Angelina’s rep assures “Entertainment Tonight” that the Jolie-Pitts remain domestically blissed out, dismissing the split talk as “absolutely not true.”

Need further convincing?

Us says the entire clan chowed down together Thursday morning, enjoying a “big breakfast” al fresco at their $70 million French chateau, where they’ve been holed up since the spring.

(By the way, the chateau is the setting for one of the only tabloid tales this week, with Star dubbing it a “pigpen castle” and a source saying, “It’s actually pretty disgusting. Every room looks like a war zone.”)

While Jolie has remained out of sight in recent weeks, Pitt has been jumping time zones to promote “Burn After Reading,” hitting both the Venice Film Festival (with Maddox, 7, and Pax, 4, in tow) and the Toronto Film Festival.

“Everyone is healthy,” he said in Toronto (via People). “No sleep though … Sleep is something you long for, but it’s all right. We’ll get it.”

When a reporter asked whether he and Jolie had any plans to work together again, the actor responded, “Angie and I are working together every day, I guarantee you.”

Jolie will be back in the spotlight later this month as she begins stumping for “The Changeling,” the Clint Eastwood-directed drama that’s already earning her Oscar buzz.

Her stylist recently told People that she “feels some pressure” to find the actress just the right outfit for the film’s Oct. 4 premiere, which will mark her first time on the red carpet since delivering the double bundles.

In between taking care of his brood and maintaining his spot at the top of the A-list, Pitt has been busy doing that do-gooder thing he and Jolie do so well — and infecting unsuspecting fans in the process.

On Wednesday, he donated $100,000 to help defeat an initiative that would ban same-sex marriages in California, a contribution that came just a few days after he and Angelina gave $2 million to the Global Health Committee to fund a children’s clinic in Ethiopia that will be named after Zahara.

Meanwhile, virus-fighting software company McAfee announced this week that Brad has beaten out Paris Hilton to become the most dangerous celebrity to search for online, courtesy of a pop culture-savvy cybercriminal element that wants to hit you with spam, spyware, viruses and other assorted computer plagues when you search for a pie-cute pictures of the Brangie bunch.

T-Pain and Ludacris are all SCREWED up! Upon hearing this song, I had no idea it was going to take the turn it did. I sat in my seat, digested the commentary and had several flashbacks. I swear on everything, it’s not a good feeling getting chopped and screwed lol; IT’S THE WORST!

Anyway, I believe this is the second offering from T-Pizzle’s Thr33 Ringz album which hits stores November 11. Pain and Luda team up for a vivid antecdote on what it means to be Chopped & Screwed. I can guarantee most of you experiecned at least one of the occurrences in the song. Joint is dope and I just love how Pain literally chopped and screwed the beat and the vocals. As always, this audio goodie is brought to you by the good folks (LowKey) over at B.E.T. You Haven’t Heard This.

Debbie Nelson details what it’s like to raise a rebellious teen-turned-rap superstar in her new tell-all memoir “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem: Setting the Record Straight on my Life as Eminem’s Mother.”

The book, due in November, follows her son’s teenage years, his rise to stardom and the strained relationship between the two. Also included are photographs and never-before-seen lyrics and poems written by Marshall Mathers before he adopted his stage name.

According to MTV.com, Nelson said she was troubled by the disparaging things he said about her and his upbringing in public, but he reassured her that the fouler he was, the more the audience loved him.

“At first I went along with it for Marshall’s sake — if I made one mistake as a mother, it was giving in to my eldest son’s every whim,” she says, noting that some relatives commented that mother and son were so close, it was as if the umbilical cord had never been cut.

“He never knew his father, and I did all I could to make up for it. I wasn’t happy when he made up a whole new life for himself — what mother wants to be known as a pill-popping alcoholic who lives on welfare? To tell the truth, I was heartbroken. The lies started coming thick and fast — and not just from Marshall. … I think he’s forgotten the good times we had, and this book is my way of setting the record st

WEB USERS BEWARE OF BEYONCE VIRUS September 19, 2008

An online search for Beyonce or Brad Pitt could end up infecting and destroying your hard drive, thanks to computer hackers who use their names to plant viruses into computers.

According to new data from computer security company McAfee, fans who go looking for info or photos on these stars have an 18 percent chance of having their computers infected with a virus or harmful hacking programs.

Jeff Green, senior vice president of McAfee’s Product Development & Avert Labs, tells Reuters: “Cybercriminals employ numerous methods, yet one of the simplest but most effective ways is to trick consumers into infecting themselves by capitalizing on Americans’ interest in celebrity gossip. Tapping into current events, pop culture or commonly browsed sites is an easy way to achieve this.”

Justin Timberlake, Angelina Jolie, Mariah Carey, Jessica Alba, Rihanna and George Clooney are also among the most dangerous celebrities to search online, according to McAfee Inc.

The viruses embedded in these celebrity Web pages or photos aren’t just harmful to computers, they can often be used to obtain personal information about the user.
