Lil Wayne pulled a no show for the JAM’N 94.5 Monster Jam in Boston last night (10/28), according to the Boston Herald.

Weezy, who was scheduled to co-headlined the concert with Jay-Z reportedly refused to go through the Banknorth Garden security and left the venue without taking the stage. To make up for Wayne’s absence, the God MC took the stage earlier complete with his nine-piece band and Cleveland Cavalier Lebron James standing in the background. Jigga even treated fans to a few encores long after his set was over.

Other performers on the bill included Ne-Yo, who brought out Jadakiss, Yung Berg, Brandy, who surprised the crowd with an appearance from her brother Ray J.

This doesn’t mark the first time Weezy pulls a no show. The rapper also refused to go through security and skipped his performance at a Fashion Rocks Show this past September.

“With only 7 days left before we vote for change, let’s hold ourselves accountable and responsible”

Where it stands today, we are on the verge of making history, the kind of history that will be apart of our cultures legacy.

It ain’t over, until it’s over. There is still so much work to be done. The thrill of victory is just 1 week away.  We hear it in the streets, we feel it in our hearts and it’s burning in our souls. Together we have successfully registered the most young voters in the history of the modern political process.

We called a State Of Emergency on October 3rd at 6:00AM and our culture stood up and recognized the importance of registering millions of voters. From 1st time voters who have just come of age to vote, to those who are participating for the 1st time in the voting process.  Your commitment to Change will continue to ring across our America, because we all are in the Right State Of Mind

Where it stands today, we are on the verge of making history, the kind of history that will be apart of our cultures legacy. The kind of history that bridges the gap between race, religion and culture, the kind of history that will ignite a light that shines bright from generation to generation, screaming that our voice does matter and our vote does count.

The kind of history that will enable the next generation of leaders to encourage vision, not division, to encourage hope, not hopelessness, to encourage the power of the people, not the power politics of the few.

With only 7 days left before we vote for change, let’s hold ourselves accountable and responsible. No more excuses, no more mistakes and no more time to waste. If you have the opportunity to vote early in your state then vote today. If you are voting on November 4th, make preparation today.

Bring your family and friends and plan for the party at the poles. Make November 4th the day we celebrate change – The day we celebrate freedom of choice. The day we celebrate power of all people. Lets all come together on November 4th, because it’s a family reunion. It’s our time and we are all in the Right State Of Mind.

We have 7 days to Vote for Change. 7 days to Vote to Make History. We can not slow down. We can not let up. We must push through to history until the final vote is cast and the last ballot is counted. We can, we must, and we will Make It Happen. Vote Obama/Biden on November 4th.

God Bless,

Actress Gabrielle Union traveled to Ghana recently as part of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s mission delegation trip designed to help reduce the rate of breast cancer among women in the country. She also joined Ghana President John Kufuor for a dedication ceremony at the new HopeXchange Medical Center, a state-of-the-art breast cancer diagnostic and treatment facility in Kumasi. Nearly 70 percent of all Ghanaian women who have breast cancer don’t see a doctor until the disease is in advanced stages. Essence spoke to Union about her trip abroad, how breast cancer has affected her own life, and why this issue is so important to her. Click here to read.

*WENN is reporting that Michael Jackson is currently planning a 30-date world tour to begin in 2009. Britain’s The Sun newspaper quotes a source who claims to have overheard the King of Pop discussing it Thursday during a visit to an antiques store in Hollywood. “Michael said he wasn’t doing a Vegas residency but was going on a world tour, taking in 30 cities next year,” the source said. “He said he wanted to do it for his kids. He wants them to see what he does, and he wants to take them on the road. He said he was on his way to Los Angeles to finalize the details.”

*The New York Post’s Page Six is quoting a source from the set of TBS’s “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” who claims the filmmaker is a diva. “Tyler makes everyone on his staff – the crew and cast – call him ‘Mr. Perry’ to his face. He won’t respond to anyone who calls him Tyler,” said the source. However, a rep for Perry told Page Six: “That’s totally preposterous. I call him Tyler. Some people do call him ‘Mr. Perry,’ but it’s out of respect.”

Sen. Barack Obama will make his fourth appearance as a guest on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” tonight (Oct. 29) at 11 p.m. (ET/PT).  The Democratic presidential candidate will appear via satellite from Florida where he continues his campaign with less than one week until Election Day. His last appearance on “The Daily Show” was on April 21, the eve of the Pennsylvania Primary.  He also visited the program on Aug. 22, 2007 and Nov. 7, 2005.

*During her appearance on NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Monday night, Obama’s wife, Michelle Obama, spoke about their daughter Malia’s reaction to the Illinois senator’s half-hour ad buy tonight across three of the five major networks. Michelle said Malia asked her dad, “‘You’re going to be on all the TV? Are you going to interrupt my TV?’” The Illinois senator assured her that her favorite programs would not be affected. “He said, ‘No, we didn’t buy time on Disney and Nick.’ And she said, ‘Oh, good.’ And she got up and walked away. She was just like, ‘Don’t mess with my TV,’” Michelle laughed.

*Mamas for Obama, a grassroots organization formed by mothers in Los Angeles, launched their first advertising campaign, which includes more than a dozen original ads with the common theme, “The Republicans Need a Time Out!” The ads will air until the election on major cable networks in swing states. They began running Monday in Florida. The spots, with titles like “Bad Behavior,” “Cookies,” “Family Values” and “Prayer,” feature kids and moms and appeal to a woman’s most maternal instinct: to make sure that the world she leaves to her kids will be safe, just, and inclusive.        The album’s production is still split between the Neptunes and OutKast cohort Mr. DJ. West has not contributed any production to “Universal Mind Control.”

Amazon.com is listing Dec. 23 as the release date for Eminem’s new album “Relapse,” however, his label Interscope insists a street date has yet to be scheduled, reports Billboard.com.

The rapper recently spoke about the album in an interview on his Sirius satellite radio station, Shade 45. He also played a song from the set, titled “I’m Having a Relapse.”

“For the last five months I’ve been working pretty much straight with (Dr.) Dre. There’s going to be a lot of material, more so than I’ve had on an album with him producing before,” Eminem told BBC Radio last week.

Eminem’s last studio album was 2004’s “Encore,” which has sold 5.1 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Singer/actor Jennifer Lopez and her Nuyorican Productions company signed a first-look deal with Universal Media Studios to develop a slate of new TV programs, reports Variety.

The exclusive two-year pact was announced Monday by Universal Media Studios co-chairman Ben Silverman.

The relationship reunites Lopez with NBC, where she headlined a concert special earlier this decade. Lopez, who runs Nuyorican with producing partner Simon Fields, also developed a sitcom at NBC based on her experiences growing up in the Bronx and guest starred several times on “Will & Grace.”

Under Lopez and Fields, Nuyorican has been busy expanding its TV development, having sold a small screen version of the Lopez feature “Maid in Manhattan” to ABC, as well as the project “Amigas” to Disney Channel.

More recently, Lopez sold a show to TLC that was set to chronicle her life as she launched a fragrance. That project, developed under the cable network’s previous administration, is not moving forward as a series but may still be in the works as a special.

In other J.Lo news, Natalie Portman has replaced the actress in the upcoming film “Love and Other Impossible Pursuits,” a Don Roos-directed adaptation of an Ayelet Waldman novel. David Molner, managing director of Screen Capital Intl. and chairman of Incentive Filmed Entertainment, said Portman’s signing salvages a film that was thrown into jeopardy when Lopez abruptly dropped out.

The story revolves around a young woman who finds the key to recovering her marriage in her relationship with her precocious stepson. The film will begin shooting in Manhattan on Nov. 10.

DANITY KANE DROPS THIRD MEMBER? October 29, 2008

WENN is reporting that Sean “Diddy” Combs’ pop group Danity Kane has lost its third member in less than a month after singer Shannon Bex decided to bounce.

The group, put together by Combs for his reality TV series “Making The Band,” is now down to two remaining original members after singers Aubrey O’Day and D. Woods’ were fired by the mogul in the finale of “Making the Band 4″ earlier this month.

According to New York’s Z100 radio host Elvis Duran, Bex said she opted to cut ties with the group because of constant bickering between remaining members and Diddy.

Diddy, meanwhile, is reportedly planning to release an album filled entirely with songs enhanced by the Auto-Tune vocal effect popularized by T-Pain. In fact, the mogul said he is collaborating with T-Pain to develop more unique ways to utilize the contraption.

“It’s electro Hip-Hop soul,” Diddy told InTouch Weekly about the as-yet-untitled project. “T-Pain gave me permission to use the vocoder, the Auto-Tune, and he showed me various tricks that nobody knows but him and myself.”

Ever since T-Pain resurrected the Auto-Tune from two years ago from its groundbreaking run with Roger Troutman in the early 80s, the device has become a must-have in hip hop by such artists as Lil Wayne (“Lollipop”), Kanye West (“Love Lockdown”), Snoop Dogg (“Sexual Seduction”), and G Unit (“Rider Pt. 2”).
