Man Involved In B.I.G. Murder Case Denied New Trial December 11, 2008

Waymond “Suave” Anderson, the man known for his shady claims surrounding the death of The Notorious B.I.G., is back in the news again after an L.A. judge denied his bid to overturn his own separate murder case.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Anderson tried to have his verdict reversed yesterday (12/10), in order to obtain a new trial in a 1993 arson murder that he is currently serving life in prison for. The inmate claimed he couldn’t have been responsible for the crime because he was in Mississippi at the time. The judge on the other hand called his alibi “entirely unbeilievable.”

“This court finds it totally incredible that the defendant would not be able to state that he was in Mississippi . . . when he was interviewed by the police after being arrested,” the judge wrote. “Besides his obvious bias and motive to lie now, he is an admitted perjurer.”

Anderson, who was an admitted drug dealer and user, was convicted in 1997 for killing a man after he didn’t pay a drug debt by setting a known crackhouse on fire.

Despite his career in the 80s as an R&B singer, Anderson is more known in the hip-hop community for his involvement in murder case of slain rapper Biggie Smalls.

In 2007 Anderson went on the record saying that LAPD officer David Mack was responsible for the death of the rapper. But during a deposition in a case that Biggie’s family had against the city of L.A. he withdrew the claim. Then over the summer he implicated Mack once again for B.I.G.’s murder along with former LAPD officer Rafael Perez, saying that the reason he recanted his claim last year was because former Death Row mogul Suge Knight was sending him death threats.

It’s a boy – again!

Sources confirm to PEOPLE that Usher and his wife Tameka have a new addition to the family: a baby boy born on Wednesday.

The new Raymond (whose name has not yet been released) joins older brother Usher Raymond V, who turned 1 on Nov. 26. The couple married in 2007. Tameka, 37, also has three sons from a previous relationship.

A source says Usher was at his wife’s side during the delivery.

Last month, he told Access Hollywood that his soon-to-arrive baby was “one of the best Christmas gifts there is to have.”

“I’m so proud to be a father by the time I’m 30,” Usher (who hit the big 3-0 in October) told PEOPLE back in August. “I’d hate to be 80 years old and not be able to run with my kids. I need to still be able to do flips when they’re in high school!”

Twelve Days of Sexmas

Day 1: Naked Baking
Get your holiday baking done while treating your man to the first sexy surprise of his Twelve Days of Sexmas. Mix ingredients with foreplay and by the time your treats are ready bake, you’ll both be ready for a treat of a different kind.

Day 2: A Sexy Photo Shoot with Your Man as the Photographer
Invite your man into your “studio” for a sexy photo shoot. Put on a sexy playlist, give him the camera, and tell him to instruct you, posing you in any position he wants. Resist him as long as you can to get him to his maximum state of arousal.

Day 3: A Silly Sexy Gift
Give your guy a gift that will bring a smile to his face. Check out the Clone A Willy (a form to make a chocolate replica of his Willy). Another idea would be one of those pair of thong underwear for him that features a small plush elephant with a nose that doubles as pouch for his manliness.

Day 4: Holiday Role Play
Dress up like a Candy Striper and paint his “candy” like a candy cane with edible paints. Transform yourself into a naughty little elf and tell Santa all the bad bad things you’ve done. Dress yourself in a sexy Mrs. Claus costume, light holiday scented candles, and treat your Santa to a night he’ll never forget.

Day 5: Holiday Themed Toys
Give him a candy cane glass toy to use on you, or slip into some Christmas lingerie.

Day 6: Erotic Film Night
Find a female-friendly erotic film to enjoy together. Invite your guy for dinner and a movie, surprising him with the film you chose once the food is gone!

Day 7: Naughty Or Nice
Play a game of sexy Truth or Dare. For truth, ask questions about your lover’s fantasies, and then when its your turn to take a dare, let your partner know you’re willing to act those fantasies out!

Day 8: A Sexy Honey-Do List
Instead of the ordinary long list of honey do projects that you normally give him around this time, give him a surprise one that won’t require a tool box, but may still require his muscles. Give him a list of needs you have ranging from a sensual massage to multiple orgasms!

Day 9: Sex Coupons
Turn the tables and send a little sexual attention his way. Buy or make up a coupon book full of sensual treats like a sexy shower encounter, an anytime/anywhere romp, or an hour of trying new positions from the Kama Sutra book.

Day 10: Holiday Cocktails and a Sex Game
Make eggnog, spiked mulled cider, or cranberry martinis to enjoy during your evening of sensual gaming. Play games like Fourplay ConnectAll Night Love Affair, or The Tantric Lovers Game.

Day 11: The Gift of You in a Bow
Surprise him with the gift of you wearing nothing but a bow!

Day 12: Christmas Morning Sex in Bed
Get your Christmas morning off to the right start and leave your lover glowing all day. Perhaps this Christmas morning treat could become your new holiday tradition!

President-elect Barack Obama’s team on Wednesday released a preliminary schedule of inauguration events, which will take place over a four day period and include a national day of service to honor Martin Luther King’s holiday.

Under the theme “Renewing America’s Promise,” the schedule also includes a national prayer service the day after Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden take office on Jan. 20.

Obama says in a statement that the events are designed to renew Americans’ faith in their country. He says he hopes the events unify the country amid its economic struggles.

Organizers also announced Monday that Hampton University’s marching band, “The Force,” has been chosen as one of three Virginia groups to march in the Inaugural Parade on Jan. 20.

Close to 1,400 groups, bands, musical acts and drill teams submitted applications, and most included recordings, which were reviewed by the Presidential Inaugural Committee, military musicians and others, reports HamptonRoads.com.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the parade will travel from the U.S. Capitol, along Pennsylvania Avenue, to the White House.

The T.C. Williams High School Army JROTC in Alexandria and the Virginia Military Institute Corps of Cadets in Lexington also were selected.

Parade participants are responsible for paying for their own hotel and transportation, and Hampton University will begin fundraising for the trip. To donate, contact the university office of development at (757) 727-5356.

JESSE JR. PUTS DISTANCE BETWEEN HIMSELF AND BLAGOJEVICH December 11, 2008

U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. held a press conference Wednesday afternoon to emphatically deny involvement in Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s alleged “pay-to-play” scheme to fill President-elect Barack Obama’s vacant senate seat.

A lawyer for Jackson acknowledged earlier Wednesday that the Illinois Democrat is the so-called Senate Candidate 5 in the federal complaint against Blagojevich. Though the affidavit says Blagojevich named Senate Candidate 5 as an individual potentially willing to raise money for him in exchange for Obama’s seat, Jackson said he was assured by federal prosecutors Tuesday that he is not a target of the investigation.

“I want to make this fact plain. I reject and denounce pay-to-play politics and have no involvement whatsoever in any wrongdoing,” Jackson said at the press conference in Washington, D.C., calling on the governor to resign. “I did not initiate or authorize anyone at anytime to promise anything to Governor Blagojevich on my behalf.”

Jackson’s attorney, James D. Montgomery Sr., said Wednesday that Jackson learned he was mentioned in the complaint against Blagojevich the night before the governor’s arrest on Tuesday.

According to the affidavit, in a Dec. 4 recording of Blagojevich with an unnamed adviser and unnamed fundraiser, the governor says he may be able to cut a deal with Senate Candidate 5 that provides Blagojevich with something “tangible up front.”

The affidavit says an associate of Candidate 5 discussed raising $500,000, and then another $1 million, for Blagojevich.  But Montgomery suggested Jackson could have been set up, and said he wasn’t aware of any associates making such a proposal.

“I wouldn’t put it past someone to be purporting to represent Jesse without authority,” Montgomery said. He said Jackson is still interested in filling Obama’s open Senate seat.

Meanwhile, Obama has called on Gov. Blagojevich to resign. Spokesman Robert Gibbs says the president-elect agrees with other prominent politicians that “under the current circumstances, it is difficult for the governor to effectively do his job and serve the people of Illinois.”

In response to questions from The Associated Press, Gibbs said Obama believes the Illinois legislature should consider a special election to fill the seat.

NFL UNION APPLEALS PLAXICO SUSPENSION/FINE December 11, 2008

The NFL Players Association filed a grievance on Tuesday challenging the suspension and fine given to Plaxico Burress by the New York Giants after the receiver accidentally shot himself in a nightclub more than a week ago.

The union accuses the team of violating the collective bargaining agreement last week when it placed Burress on the reserve-non football injury list, suspended him for the final four games of the regular season and fined him an additional week’s salary for conduct detrimental to the team, reports the Associated Press.

Placing Burress on the non-football injury list also will keep him out of the playoffs. The Giants (11-2) won the NFC East title on Sunday.

Union spokesman Carl Francis said the grievance will be heard by an arbitrator after the season ends.

Under the contract that Burress signed in September, the Giants owe the Super Bowl star $1 million of his signing bonus on Wednesday. Team spokesman Pat Hanlon had no comment on either the grievance or whether the team would pay the signing bonus.

Francis said the union would consider another grievance if the Giants withheld the payment.

Burress was shot when the .40-caliber Glock that he was carrying in his pants slipped down his leg. The man who caught the go-ahead touchdown pass in the Super Bowl then reached for it and accidentally pulled the trigger and shot himself.

He faces a felony weapons possession charge that requires a mandatory minimum 3 1/2 years in prison.

PAULA PUTS FOX ON BLAST OVER STALKER December 11, 2008

In an interview on Barbara Walters’ Sirius XM radio show, Paula Abdul accused Fox and “American Idol” producers of ignoring her pleas not to allow Paula Goodspeed to audition for fear of her previous obsessive behavior.

“I said this girl is a stalker of mine and please do not let her in,” Abdul told Walters Monday, adding that the producers thought it would be a hoot to bring her on anyway “for entertainment value.

“It’s fun for them to cause me stress,” Abdul said. “This was something that would make good television.”

At the behest of producers, Goodspeed appeared on the show more than once, Abdul said.

The 46-year-old former Laker Girl said Goodspeed had written her “disturbing letters” for nearly 18 years and that she’s had a restraining order against the woman at times.

The entertainer also accused Fox of making her home address public, although she added that Goodspeed found the place on her own after an audition: “She followed me home with her mom.”

When Walters asked why Abdul remains on a show that put her in peril, Abdul replied: “I’m under contract.”
