JERMAINE DUPRI SAYS JANET IS NOT PREGNANT December 22, 2008

 

Jermaine Dupri is using his own blog to set the record straight regarding his girlfriend Janet Jackson and the never-ending rumors that she is pregnant and/or the two have split up.

 

       “As you all know Janet is a very private person … the only reason you see her as much as you do on my YouTube vlog is because of me. LOL,” Dupri wrote. “But I hear yall and your questions. … No she is not pregnant and yes we’re still together.”

 

       Dupri, who has dated Jackson for the past four years, also wrote:  “It baffles me how yall let these blog and magazines control your lives.”      

       The pregnancy rumors flared up again after Jackson canceled a string of concerts on her Rock Witchu tour this fall because of “migraine-associated vertigo,” which is characterized by dizziness, imbalance and other symptoms.

JANET’S ‘RUMORED LOVECHILD’ TO WRITE BOOK December 16, 2008

 

MediaTakeOut.com is claiming that “Renee,” the rumored lovechild of Janet Jackson and James DeBarge, is “considering writing a tell all to clear the air.”       

       The gossip site says “an insider” told them: “There’s so much that nobody knows about what went on in Renee’s life … She wants to come clean about everything that she’s been through.”      

       While the source refused to confirm whether or not Renee was actually Jackson’s daughter, MediaTakeOut quotes her as saying: “After the book comes out everyone will know the truth.”

 

       In 2005, James DeBarge’s brother, Young Debarge, told New York’s Hot 97 that Janet and his brother – married in 1984 – were parents of “Renee,” a daughter the couple secretly sent to live with Janet’s elder sister, Rebbie.

 

       “Her birth was top secret,” Young said of Renee, now 21. “James and the Jackson family kept everything real close, real tight. No one really knew how it was working out until things kind of surfaced.”

 

       Jackson denied the claims, stating in Nov. 2005: “I do not have a child and all allegations saying so are false.”

DUPRI DENIES JANET PREGNANCY December 9, 2008

 

Usweekly.com is reporting that Jermaine Dupri has denied reports from several blogs that his girlfriend, Janet Jackson, is pregnant.      

       The baby rumors started flying when Jackson canceled tour dates in October due to “vertigo.”  But the magazine claims Jackson is not with child – at least for now.       

       “Everyone tells me that there will never be a good time, that I will always be busy, but I just think when the stars are aligned it will happen,” she said. “I’d love to have children… It’s just up to Jermaine, what he wants to do.”

JANET’S INDECENCY CASE APPEALED TO SUPREME COURT November 25, 2008

 

The Federal Communications Commission is appealing its Janet Jackson indecency lawsuit to the U.S. Supreme Court, claiming a previous appeals ruling that tossed the case was wrong.      

       In July, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia threw out the case and dropped the $550,000 fine against CBS, saying that the FCC rules give a pass to indecent images if they’re “fleeting.” But the FCC said their rules were incorrectly applied by the court.      

       Janet’s breast was exposed on television for less than two seconds during the Super Bowl halftime performance with Justin Timberlake in 2004.

 

       The FCC said the court incorrectly applied a rule — since changed — regarding expletives that required a profanity be repeated before it is deemed indecent. The FCC contends the rule didn’t apply to images.      

       In other Janet news, UK’s Daily Star is claiming that Jackson will try her luck touring in Japan after having to scrap the remainder of her U.S. tour due (unofficially) to low ticket sales.

 

       The outlet says she’ll perform four dates in the country between Feb. 14 and 22, 2009. Janet’s camp announced that a bout of “vertigo” forced her to cancel seven dates on her U.S. Rock Witchu tour, which supposedly could not be rescheduled due to “conflicts.”

Tyler Perry Sued Over “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” November 14, 2008

 

Woman claims Perry never wrote it…but took the credit

A woman has filed a copyright infringement suit against filmmaker Tyler Perry, claiming she wrote the hit 2005 film “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”— not him. 

Perry must appear in court this week. According to KSLA News 12, Perry’s  company Tyler Perry Studios, and Lionsgate Entertainment, were also named in the suit which was filed by Donna West May 2007. West is  seeking all profits made from “Diary” as well as damages. 

West says she wrote a story called “Fantasy of a Black Woman” in 1990. She got a copyright for the film in 2006. Perry’s  lawyers said that West has no grounds to sue because she didn’t register her work until after the allegations. “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” debut February 2005. 

Opening arguments begin December 3 at the U.S. Federal Courthouse in Marshall, Texas. 

JANET JACKSON ABANDONS TOUR November 6, 2008

 

RollingStone.com is reporting that Janet Jackson has ended her Rock Witchu Tour early following a number of issues, including a reported bout of vertigo that led to several cancelled dates.

 

      The pop star has decided to cancel all of her postponed dates instead of rescheduling them, bringing the tour to a sudden close. Jackson’s team blames the cancellations on “conflicts in the singer’s schedule.”

 

       News of the cancellation follows the announced departure of opening act LL Cool J, reportedly due to all of the postponed shows.

 

       In all, seven shows have been cancelled, including stops in Montreal, Boston and Philadelphia.

MIJAC UPSET WITH JERMAINE OVER TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT November 5, 2008

 

Chicago Sun-Times columnist Bill Zwecker is reporting that Michael Jackson gave his brother Jermaine “quite the tongue-lashing” for wrongly announcing that he is involved in an upcoming Jackson 5 reunion tour.      

       According to Zwecker, Jermaine’s assertion that Janet Jackson was on board for the tour is also false.      

       ‘Both Michael and Janet [Jackson] are not involved in any way,’ Zwecker quotes of a longtime MJ pal, ‘and Michael really laid into Jermaine for even raising the possibility.’      

       Michael “is said to be hard at work on a trio of new albums — including one featuring at least one track with his oldest son, Prince,” writes Zwecker. The new CDs reportedly take Jackson’s music in a new direction, “one that won’t alienate his millions of fans … but will include some interesting gospel and hip-hop touches we haven’t heard before,” said the source.

JANET JACKSON EDITS CONCERT FOR DETROIT November 1, 2008

Janet Jackson decided to cut a racy segment from her concert in Detroit Tuesday to comply with a Michigan state law that prohibits simulated sex acts in a public performing space.      

       Billboard.com reported that the Palace of Auburn Hills approached Jackson’s camp with concerns about the three-song “Discipline” segment Tuesday afternoon. An arena spokesman said “we explained the law, asked her not to do it, she complied. We did not ask her to cut the song. That was her call.”      

       Jackson’s manager Kenneth Crear said in a statement: “Janet did not want to disappoint her Detroit-area fans again, so we adhered to Michigan’s state ordinance and trimmed the ‘Discipline’ segment of the show so it would not be canceled.”      

       During the segment in question, Jackson pulls a male fan from the crowd, ties him down and “molests” him while her dancers mime various sexual acts, including masturbation.       

       During her encore Jackson apologized for cutting the law-breaking portion of the concert, telling the 8,000 fans at the 21,000-seat venue: “We hope you enjoyed the show we gave you.”      

       The decision to drop the saucy routine comes four years after her breast was flashed in a “wardrobe malfunction” during the Super Bowl halftime show.      

       Jackson’s Detroit show was a make-up date for an original Sept. 27 gig that was one of several postponed when she was sidelined with a bout of migraine-induced vertigo.

      It may be an oldie, but it’s a sho-nuff goodie. From one of her previous tours, watch Janet seductively perform “Would You Mind” on a brother, who fortunately for himself and Janet, is strapped down while she literally climbs, crawls and rubs all over dude. LL COOL J QUITS THE JANET JACKSON TOUR October 29, 2008

 

Just as Janet Jackson’s traveling Rock Witchu show was getting back on its feet following postponed dates, opening act LL Cool J announced he has quit the tour due to unnamed “scheduling conflicts.” 

 

       Reps for LL made the announcement late Monday, reports the Associated Press. His exit comes after Jackson, 42, was forced to cancel a string of earlier concerts because of a bout of migraine-associated vertigo. She recently resumed while being treated for the illness, which is characterized by dizziness, imbalance and other symptoms.       

       As of press time, no replacement for LL had been announced. Jackson’s next concert is scheduled for Saturday in New York.

 

JANET SAYS SHE FEELS ‘A LOT BETTER’ October 27, 2008

 

Janet Jackson is thanking fans for the well-wishes that poured in during her bout with vertigo-induced migraines. The condition caused her to postpone a string of dates on her current “Rock Witchu” tour.      

       “I want to thank you for all your messages and all your love and support when I wasn’t feeling very well,” the singer said in the clip shot by her boyfriend Jermaine Dupri before her show in Houston last week. “I’m a lot better now.”       

       Later in the clip, the couple attempts to downplay rumors that the two were toward splitsville.      

       “Baby, they say you broke up with me because I threw up on you,” a laughing Dupri said as he held the camera.       

       “How lame is that?” Jackson deadpanned. “Because you threw up on me? Well, there’s no real love there, is it?”
