She tells the Evening Standard” “I think after 9/11 you can’t say anything anymore on a plane. I’ve flown British Airways for years, since I was a child. The stewardesses will tell you that I would get on a plane, put on the blanket and go to sleep.

“I’ll never fly that airline again, but nothing’s really lost. I did get my luggage. I was reunited with my (Yves Saint Laurent), and everything was cool.”

Naomi and Chanel

When Naomi Campbell isn’t berating airline staff and throwing cell phones at the help, the supermodel can actually be quite nice. She put on her annual Fashion for Relief charity fashion show, this time raising money for The White Ribbon Alliance fund to promote safe childbirth, last night at London’s Natural History Museum.

At 38, Naomi can still match up with any model – as she shows here on the runway with 18-year-old Chanel Iman, who was spending plenty of time with Ryan Leslie before fashion show season got underway. Not that the doyenne was the oldest catwalker by any means. Cilla Black, a 65-year-old English singer, strutted her stuff in the show that featured celebrity models.

NAOMI CAMPBELL BEGINS COMMUNITY SERVICE: Supermodel works desk job at soup kitchen to satisfy air rage case September 11, 2008

Filed under: Entertainment — Ryann Hayman @ 2:35 pm

Naomi Campbell spent all day Tuesday at a desk job as part of the community service stemming from her air rage plea deal earlier this year.

The supermodel was assigned to handle paperwork at London’s Whitechapel Mission soup kitchen to help fulfill her sentence of 200 hours of helping the homeless.

“Naomi is really eager to do the work that is required of her and give something back to the community,” a friend told People.com.

However, some workers on her punishment detail complained that Campbell was tasked with easy paperwork instead of more challenging labor, such as washing dishes or handling in janitorial duties.

“It’s usually pretty grueling work, but not for her,” one source told the U.K.’s Daily Mirror, adding that Campbell was treated “like a princess.”

Campbell, 38, said she’s just happy to being putting the April airport incident behind her. “I just want to keep my head down and get on with it,” she told the Mirror.

In June, Campbell pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers in London’s Heathrow airport. In addition to her community service, she was also fined $4500.
